Riding it without salt:
a group of 40 cyclists, including the visually impaired, rode today (Friday) on the circuit around the springs on a single track in Gush Etzion.
In this framework, they were hosted by the tourism department of the Gush Etzion Council.
This morning, a unique group of cyclists from Sharon arrived on the single tracks for the circuit around the springs in Gush Etzion and in the Netiv Havot neighborhood in the Elazar settlement.
Along with them rode volunteers led by the founder of the group, Uri Basha, who founded the group within the center for guide dogs for the blind out of the vision that every person, blind or sighted, could contribute to creating a supportive and empowering social framework.

The shared ride was carried out on a tandem bicycle (couple) with the captain (sitting in front) directing and guiding his partner, the blind person, sitting in the back.
Thus they rode together on an experiential and enjoyable route.
The chairman of the Yesha Council and head of the Gush Etzion Council, Shlomo Na'eman, welcomed the project and said: "We were happy to host such a significant and exciting project together with the Sharon Riders group led by Uri Besha. This is a group of people who are the salt of the earth. We were happy to give them a special experience of Riding in the way of the ancestors that connects to the meaning of their value enterprise also values of heritage and Jewish history. We congratulate the tourism department of Gush Etzion for the assistance in hosting the group."
The head of the tourism department of the Gush Etzion Council, David Rodman, said: "It is always a pleasure to meet riders who come to ride in the scenery and sites of the Gush Etzion, this time it was not only joyful but exceptionally moving, to meet Israeliness at its best."
